If a non- Muslim comes to the mosque and urinates, how will the Muslims react? In short, I only want to say that the Muslims today should react the way Prophet Muhammad... Greetings, friends! Come, let us talk about the riots in Bangalore What happened? How did it happen? And what fake news was spread regarding it? And what lesson can we derive from this incident? The set up is slightly different in today's BLOG.

I'm not sitting on my normal desk There is a reason behind it And you will get to know about it in a future vlog Today, let's talk about the topic On 11th August, a man named P Naveen in Bengaluru put up allegedly derogatory posts on Facebook which goes against Prophet Muhammad and Islamic beliefs It was quite offensive to their beliefs P. Navin is the nephew of Congress MLA Srinivasa Murthy in Katnataka The screenshots of this post was shared on WhatsApp groups and other social media handles and made to go viral The same evening, around 7:30 - 7:45

The people were asked to congregate at the police station and protest against it A crowd gathered at the police station This crowd was being led by the leader of Social Democratic Party of India- Muzammil Pasha- who reached the police station to lodge an FIR Around 200 people gathered outside the police station At this point of time, out story-line bifurcates into two On one hand is the version of the police And on the other hand is the version of the local people and the SDPI party according to Boom Life fact check report Boom life is a very reliable fact checking website According to them, the police said that they quickly sprung into action and made different teams to catch hold of Navin and arrest him But the SDPI maintains that the police did not take action in time Instead, they asked for time to arrest him At 9:30, the police team reached the station empty handed They had not arrested Navin.

But the crowd and the mob assumed that Navin was in the police van and they demanded that Navin be handed over to them.

The police then clarify that they had not yet arrested Navin Then the mob turns against the police Around the same time, about a 1,000 people gathered outside the house of the Congress MLA By 10:30, the mob turned violent outside the DJ Halli police station This is the name of that police station Several police cars were set ablaze and the mob barges inside the police station In response, the police lathi charged them but the mob becomes even more violent Some police officials stay trapped inside the police station Alongside, the mob outside the Congress MLA's house now reaches the house of Navin, vandalises it and sets fire to properties By 11:30, the police sends reinforcements to the D J Halli police station Tear gas is fired and the mob attacks the police station By 12:00 AM, conditions deteriorate so much that the police had to open fire in which 3 people are killed and later, it was revealed that more than 50 police men were also injured After that, more than 145 perpetrators of riots were identified by the police Investigation will be conducted on that And on Wednesday at 2 am, the police also arrests P Naveen for allegedly posting derogatory comments which incited this violence His mother claims that Naveen is innocent and she has alleged that someone stole his phone and they put up these posts Naveen himself says that someone hacked his account and someone put up this post by hacking his Facebook account.

FAKE NEWS

Fact Check: 4-Year-Old Photo Shared As Recent Violence In Bengaluru

He had not not put up this post BOOM website was told by the locals that Naveen regularly posts such offensive materials on Facebook He had recently posted very communal and offensive materials on the subjects of Babri Masjid and coronavirus Before further discussion on this topic, I'd like to talk a little about the fake news that spread regarding this issue First fake news was that the rioters were 60,000 strong A lot of newspapers published this news but the fact checking of Altnews revealed that this number is estimated to be around 1000-2000 Another fake news that went viral on the social media regarding this Bangalore riot, Someone posted that the derogatory post against Islam and Prophet Munhammad made by P Naveen was actually posted in response and the original post was actually abusing the Hindu Gods and was offensive against them Regarding this too, AltNews has fact checked that there was no original post which caused this post to be written as a response This, infact, was an original post and the photos being circulated are actually photo shopped Along with this, another video went viral- which isn't fake- and that is,

some Muslim youths formed a human chain around a temple in the same region that the riots were taking place in, to protect it against these rioters that were Muslims themselves On one hand, we got to see Muslims that were trying to prevent riots and on the other hand, there were extremists- whose temper begins to flare up so easy that cars are set ablaze and property is vandalized merely over a Facebook post First, let us talk about such extremists whose sentiments are so sensitive that if you say anything against their God or say anything abusive, then they are going to feel so offended that they will resort to violence and rioting and they can even take somebody's life merely over some words Think logically Is it right to take someone's life merely over a few words?

IMPORTANCE OF TOLERANCE

Is it right to set fire, to destroy property just over a few words? It does not make sense The country Cannot run this way If everyone begins to feel so offended and sensitive then there will be a civil war in the country There would be no progress Secondly, if you're doing this with regard to your Prophet Muhammad, then you are not following his rules yourself! And it is not me saying this. I spoke to my friend Wali Rehmani He will provide you with some examples and will tell you why it is so important to be tolerant no matter which faith you adhere to Every faith teaches you how to be peaceful and tolerant and how you should learn to handle criticism -Wali, you are a practicing Muslim. I'd like to ask you something offensive, please do not take it to heart If someone around you says anything against Prophet .

Muhammad or abuses them, would you also pick up arms and become violent regarding that? -I do not think that this question is offensive at all because I think that we are living in a democratic country. It has its own set of rules and its is our duty- it is also a rule in Islam that we should follow the rule of the land that we reside in And if there is a law of our country, we should abide by that law Ofcourse, if there is a post against Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, it hurts me but how my reaction should be is also taught to me by Islam So, in retaliation, if I pick up arms and start vandalizing the property of others then their posts would be things written against Prophet Muhammad and I would be further verifying that post that what you wrote was right. Islam is like that What you wrote was right So, I think... the answer of hate speech should not be given with hate speech And I feel that we get many good examples from Islam and the life of Prophet Muhammad on how to deal with haters and hate speeches So, if you allow, then I can... -Can you provide some examples of this? -Absolutely.

There are several examples from the life of Prophet Muhammad There was this lady who used to throw garbage on Prophet Muhammad every day So, whenever Prophet Muhammad used to pass by her house, that lady used to throw garbage on him One day, Prophet Muhammad was passing by her house and that lady did not come out to throw garbage on Prophet Muhammad Then Prophet Muhammad wondered where that lady was That lady used to hate Prophet Muhammad from the core of her heart And Prophet Muhammad knocked at her door and said 'Can I come in?' That lady said, 'You may come in' And the moment Prophet Muhammad went in, he saw that the lady was lying on a bed and she was very ill She was not in the condition to get up from her bed So, Prophet Muhammad filled up her water bottle for her Prophet Muhammad cleaned her house for her and said, 'Okay, I'll see you tomorrow' and then Prophet Muhammad left her house So, this is one beautiful example from the life  of Prophet Muhammad that how he dealt with haters -So, basically someone was abusing him and throwing garbage at him but he was still responding with love -Exactly. He was responding with love So, we get examples from the life of Prophet Muhammad And the best example I feel that I can give to the people that are doing this First of all, I'm saying that the people who wrote against Prophet Muhammad did wrong.

PARADOX OF TOLERANCE

The Paradox of Tolerance by AmericanDreaming on DeviantArt

There is freedom of speech in our country But the freedom of speech in our country is not absolute You cannot walk away by saying anything or by abusing anyone There are restrictions on the freedom of speech. There are restrictions on what you can say to whom And I think there is the police and the courts as well as proper laws to punish that person But- think about it- if Prophet Muhammad was from the 21st century, from 2020 and if someone abused him or threw garbage on Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, So, we have to react in the way Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, would have reacted That is how we should react -So, he would have reacted in a peaceful manner and in a loving way -We're absolutely not following him Another example is that a person at Masjid-e-Nabwi- the mosque of Prophet Muhammad in Medina in Saudi Arabia So, a Bedouin came to the mosque at that time- and they used to be very rough in those times 1400 years back, they were very rough people from the deserts And a non muslim person entered the mosque and he stands in one corner and he urinates in the mosque The disciples of Prophet Muhammad all took out their swords and were threatening to become violent against him for urinating in he mosque Prophet Muhammad then said that this is not how  they should deal with people Prophet Muhammad walked upto him and said that he knew that urination is the need of every man But this place is not for urination, this place is for the worship of God and he requested the man to not do it the next time So, the man left. Prophet Muhammad tells his disciples that there was a need to bring water and clean the mosque rather than brandish a sword Think about this scenario in today's context- If some non Muslim comes and urinates in the mosque, Then what would be the reaction of Muslims today?

TOLERANCE IN OTHER RELIGIONS
Religious tolerance is widespread – but it does not extend to Islam

In short, I would only like to say that the reaction of Muslims should be like the reaction of Prophet Muhammad had be been born in this era, century and this year -True And this is valid not just for the Muslims We have seen this happen in our country numerous times- Sometimes, people begin riots in the name of Padmavat Sometimes, people begin riots in the name of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj They begin arson Sometimes, if you refer to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj without the prefix Chhatrapati and refer to him only as "Shivaji", the people would be so offended that they begin to send you death and rape threats But amongst all these great people- be it Prophet Muhammad or Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj all teach us a lesson of tolerance and the people that react like this and call themselves their staunch supporters, They themsleves do not follow their principles Because even Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was an extremely tolerant person and even he taught us how to handle criticism -Quoting a small example from the life of Shivaji, -Yes, go ahead -When the army of Shivaji defeated a Muslim governor, I forget the name of the Muslim governor and his kingdom So, the army of Shivaji held the daughter in law of that Muslim governor as hostage and kidnapped her When Shivaji saw this, he became infuriated He asked his army what they had done! This was against the principles of justice He instructed the army to immediately drop the Muslim girl back home Savarkar wrote in his book that Shivaji should not have returned his daughter in laq -Oh! -It is the ideology of Savarkar to have held the girl but the ideology of Hinduism and Shivaji is that according to the Principles of Justice

she should have been returned that their fight is for the sake of justice but they would not go to the extent of raping or keeping them as a slave So, I think Shivaji and not Savarkar is the example of how a Hindu man should lead his life You would get the same values in every religion and every great individual Even our "Gandhigiri" suggests the same Do you remember that scene in Lage Raho Munnabhai that a person spits outside another person's home always And the latter calls and asks what he should do And then he is told to wipe off the stains of the person as a response I am not expecting that level of Gandhigiri form the people but, we shpould look at it like an aspiration that we should be that tolerant I don't think we can be that tolerant and I don't think even I can be that tolerant that I begin to wipeoff the stains of the spit But we can atleast be that tolerant that we don't turn violent when someone says something That is not such a big deal Obviously, there is a limit to tolerance There's also a paradox here- Can you be tolerant for intolerance?
